Our six meter expedition to Saba Island (PJ6) (IOTA NA-145) grid locator FK87jp is taking shape. The team will be K5AND, Dick, W5OZI, Pat and K5TR, George. We have plane reservations and a cottage reserved on the northeastern corner of the island at about 150 meters ASL. This location should afford an excellent take-off angle to EU, AF, US and much of SA. We owe a debt of gratitude to Bob Allphin and the PJ6A team for helping us secure this same cottage that they used.
We will arrive on Saba on June 22 and depart on July 6, giving us two weekends to try to make contacts with folks who may be unavailable during the week.
Our band plan is to use 50.106 for our CW beacon, CW and SSB contacts. We will also operate JT65 for EME skeds on 50.210.
Our call sign will be PJ6D.
